The Eddy is a French–American musical drama web television miniseries, set in Paris. The first two episodes are directed by Damien Chazelle and written by Jack Thorne. Original music is written by Glen Ballard and Randy Kerber.

“The Eddy is a musical drama set in contemporary multicultural Paris revolving around a club, its owner, the house band, and the chaotic city that surrounds them. Elliot Udo, who was a celebrated jazz pianist in New York, is now in Paris, part-owner of a failing jazz club, hiding from everyone. He has an on-again off-again relationship with his lead singer, but is emotionally stunted. When his fifteen-year-old daughter shows up suddenly, he has to face his weakness and learn to grow up.”

For this occasion, Randy Kerber performs piano and acting with :

  • Damian Nueva, double bassist

  • Lada Obradovic, drummer

  • Ludo Louis, Trumpeter

  • Jowee Omicil, saxophonist

  • Joanna Kulig, singer.

The series consists of dialogue mainly in French and English, with Arabic and Polish also featured. The miniseries consists of 8 episodes and was released on Netflix on May 8, 2020. Need more ? Read the interview about The Eddy.
